Hot Tub Guidelines

We want you to enjoy and get the most from your hot tub during your stay.

To comply with best practice we will check the hot tub regularly during your stay. Water balance/chemicals will be adjusted as necessary and results recorded. We will endeavour to perform the checks when you are out, exploring beautiful South Pembrokeshire!

Please note: Due to our quick turnaround time, during busy periods and in the winter months the hot tub may not be up to the correct operating temperature when you arrive. On the day of your departure your hot tub will not be available after 8.00am so that it can be thoroughly drained, cleaned and disinfected for the next guest.

  • Please use the cover lifter to remove the cover. Undo the clips on the side furthest from the cover lifter hinge. Fold the cover over the bar and use the bar to lift and store the cover. Never remove the cover from the lifter.
  • Take care when entering and leaving the hot tub as surfaces can become slippery when wet.
  • When not in use make sure the cover is on and the skirt is pulled down around the edge. Secure with the clips.
  • You are advised to limit your time in the hot tub to a maximum of 15 minutes to avoid overheating.
  • Please shower and remove any fake tan and make up before using the hot tub. Failure to adhere to this will reduce the effectiveness of the sanitizing chemicals and cleanliness of the hot tub and may incur an additional cleaning charge.
  • If you’ve been to the beach, please ensure swimsuits and feet are rinsed before using the hot tub as any sand introduced can damage the pump.
  • People with skin or other body infections or wounds should not use the hot tub due to the risk of spreading infection.
  • Pregnant women and persons with heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, or any serious illness should consult their doctor before using the hot tub.
  • Children under 16 must be supervised by a suitable adult at all times.
  • Hot tubs are not recommended for use by children under the age of four.
  • Never use the hot tub alone.
  • Excessive exposure to the hot tub can increase the risk of allergic reactions and skin complaints.
  • If any allergic reaction occurs leave the hot tub and rinse off in the shower then seek medical advice.
  • Do not use the hot tub if you notice any deterioration or discolouration of the water. Contact (07966 427422) and stop anyone from using the hot tub until it has been checked.
  • Do not consume alcohol before or during hot tub use. The heat of the water speeds up the effects of alcohol and can cause sleepiness, dizziness and unconsciousness.
  • Do not use the hot tub while using medication that may cause sleepiness, drowsiness or raise/lower blood pressure.
  • Do not use the hot tub after a heavy meal or exercise as the water temperature can affect your heart rate.
  • Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water especially if you have long hair. There is a risk that the circulation pump could trap hair, holding your head underwater and presenting a drowning risk. In the unlikely event of this happening, please immediately use the red isolation switch on the wall adjacent to the hot tub to stop power to the unit, which will stop the pump.
  • Do not take glass in or near the hot tub, as broken glass poses a serious hazard. Plastic alternatives are available in each Cottage.
  • Do not exceed the maximum occupancy of your hot tub – one person per seat.
  • Do not sit on the plastic lid, which covers the filter, or the hot tub cover.
  • Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You use the Hot Tub at your own risk.
  • We cannot be held responsible for your safety whilst you are using the Hot Tub.

Please ensure all guests in the Cottage are aware of the above guidelines and safety information that we have provided.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. We hope you enjoy using the hot tub!
